yep. i take my cue from leah to announce that, since this past Lord's Day, annika has been walking more than she crawls. she's delighted with herself now that she's using those feet for more than a handful of steps at a time, even making the arduous trek from bathroom to living room upright.  Posted by Hello

I just can't believe it! I have only seen Annika twice in her whole life...or maybe thrice...each time she was just a bundle of smiles that hardly wiggled. I can't hardly believe she is WALKING. My dear Corynn is quite the sluggard compared to her littlest friends.
A toast-to the mother and father of two walking wonders...May you be content never to sit again...May you learn to rest with your eyes open....May you evolve a stiff upper lip as dear Annika experiments with how fast she can run into the corner of a chair...and may you enjoy every minute of the life you will now be leading! :-) Now-whether beer or frambwaw (hehehe)...BOTTOMS UP!

CONGRATULATIONS, Annika!!! Abby, can you believe our babies our getting so big? Must be time to have another one! ;) So who's taking the cue from whom for that? hahaha

rebecca--it's mailed! thanks for the well wishing!

matt--annika's brewing up a mess of fun with her walking. she's so bubbly even when she downs a faceful of rug. though she's still a bit tipsy on her feet, she really seems to have a high tolerance for bumps. she's on a walking binge today. i haven't seen her crawl really at all. her desire was fermenting for so long that now that she can finally walk, she's going full tilt!
(by the way, you're completely off base.)

leah--i'm going to try to call you again today! and as far as the next baby goes, i believe the precedent you've set thus far will work nicely. just let me know when YOU'RE pregnant, and i'll announce five weeks later!

That rule suits me just fine as long as...... you inform me when you are no longer "potentially" pregnant! It seems to me, if my memory serves me correctly, that YOU have been the one to avoid telling us that you are indeed pregnant! :)
