Parcel Post
John and I learned a wonderful new something together on Tuesday. In a room filled with strangers, we discovered the only thing matching the joy of having six girl children is having five girl children plus one little boy.
Meet Honeybuckle on the Outside.

Hurried along by a hailstorm walk, he arrived on April 24th at 9:36 p.m.
Weight: a whopping seven pounds, three ounces
Two days "overdue" but covered so thickly with vernix that he looked like a sad, little polar bear.
And, praise God, he arrived through the second natural, non-intervention birth since Pip's c-section delivery.
What's that? You'd like his name? Literally one minute before we left the hospital at eleven o'clock last night, we snatched straws. Here he is:
Ezekiel Walker Owen
A mighty handsome lad.
To top off the post, here are the only other three pictures I have of our family in the hospital. We left as soon as we could and are enjoying being home now, all eight together, happy, tired, and well.

I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! For once in my life, I guessed *RIGHT*! (Despite, of course, sad, crazy little dreams...)
And in one fell swoop your entire world CHANGES. You can yell "Girls! It's time to go!" no longer. Owens have a BOY. (And Judah is FINALLY not alone in the world!)
He is charming and sweet and surreal. And his hair! And his LIPS! Oh MY.
And that picture of you and he...well. I just can't help but tear up with joy.
SO happy for you all...and so happy for Ezekiel (a great name!) to have been born to such a wonderful family. God is good. So so good.

Yay, hooray, and congratulations! Such a sweet little manchild! (and Ezekiel is on our short list for #5. I think. I'm never sure what my husband is thinking)

Need any little boy clothes? We've got lots, since Avi grew through the different stages pretty quickly :-) We'll come by to smush him with kisses soon.

I have tears of joy for all of you! He is absolutely beautiful beyond words. A son. He will be so loved by all, especially his sweet Big Sisters! Praise God for the health and safety of Baby Ezekiel!

All I can say is..You did well. He is just beautiful (and I don't care if he is a boy, he IS beautiful!) And the name..well, what an awesome strong name, I love it! I love the pictures you posted and I'm so glad they were posted post-haste ;) I guess I had more to say than what I thought- that's what happens when thoughts spill out of mouths! :) All joking aside, congratulations and many blessings on your new BABY BOY!!! :)

Oh, Abigail!!! Such a joy to have a healthy, safe delivery with such a sweet result! Praising God with you and your family! I imagine you were completely shocked when he was delivered..a boy! A precious little guy that will never lack for love and care! Congrats!!!

And, Sarah, at the hospital, John said that whatever we named him, his nickname would be Hank. After reading your comment (on FB?), he put Hank on the name list, too. :)
