If she really does take after me, of which she shows some early-- and, therefore, untrustworthy-- signs, she'll suck her thumb until she's almost twelve. (Sad, but true. I took after my dad,only he got away without the protruding teeth I was punished with for that bad habit.)

((My sister sucked her thumb until she was nine, and she didn't apparently get it from anyone in the family. My parents tried for years to break the habit, but all they got for their efforts was a miserable child who grew increasingly clever as their tactics grew more extreme. So they let her go, and she stopped on her own, eventually.))

Well, I dunno about the thumb, but this gal definitely takes after you. And if you don't mind me saying so, she's quite beautiful!

I sucked my thumb until I was eight- and rosie did until she was eight-my mom offered us "cornsilk cabbage patch dolls" if we stopped for a month.
and we did- but the next month i began biting my nails.
poor, poor nails.

I took on more than my fair share of bad habits. Only recently have I begun AGAIN the attempts to let my nails grow. (And why is it that everyone else got such fantastic bribery gifts compared to me?)

every time i grow my nails i realize that nails are more trouble than they're worth.
and they're very dangerous- probably because i am clumsy.
