Might I just say that I really love all your photos! You take great ones! This one is especially "yute".. :)

Soooo, I must ask you if you would tell me what kind of camera you have??? I also love to take photos and would really love to get a digital cam in the somewhat near future, but want a decent one.

Thanks! I think they're yute, too. :)

We have a Olympus Camedia D-540. Neither John nor I knew anything about cameras, and we bought it because he needed one for school; it was on sale for around $120.

(It's a really great digital camera for someone who wants a lot of the nicer features without shelling out over $200, so when you read the cons, don't think I'm dissatisfied! It's just that there may be a better camera for a comparable price that I don't know about because this is the only one I've ever used.

Pros: 3.0 megapixels (which is all you really need unless you're a photographer), great 3X optical zoom, takes EXCELLENT pictures if there's lots of natural light

Cons:
* drains regular batteries like you wouldn't believe--I think they last for about 5 pictures, so rechargable batteries are a must

* Flash is way too bright and washes everything out, so if you take a lot of pictures that need a flash, that's something to consider

* Slow shutter speed and memory response

* Video has no sound

Here's someone else's review that I agree with for the most part,
"Pros: Nice size, good digital zoom, good outdoor photo quality
Cons: Flash too bright, poor non-flash photography, slow shutter speed

In bright sunlight, I loved it. Pictures were crystal clear, colors were gorgeous and it's got a nice digital zoom. But, back in often-overcast Wisconsin, I'm not at all thrilled. The flash is too bright, the shutter speed is slow, the red eye doesn't work very well and pictures without a flash are grainy, blurred (from camera shake) or color incorrect.

Oh, that last part about Wisconsin is still the other guy's review. I've never been in Wisconsin, but I really love cheese.)
