Because I doubt many of you follow my links, here's one of the aformentioned Harry Clarke's illustrations from Andersen's Fairy Tales. After seeing the detail and design of this illustration, the fact that Clarke was originally a stained glass artist comes as no surprise.

I follow your links...usually. I must admit, I look at cloth diapers enough each day than to waste time watching them on the internet!
I haven't had time to comment recently, since my head has been hunched over inches from a sewing machine...trying to finish the quilt. I started it yesterday and have the quilted top completely done! I can't say any of this on MY blog though, since my sister reads it. :-( I plan to give it to her pronto so I can post some pictures.
Speaking of pictures (thank goodness I am back on topic...) I loved the Harry Clarke illustrations. I think my favorite must be Thumbelina.
And Arthur Rackham? All I can say is...Wow. Gullivers Travels was all I had time to look at but the intricacy of detail...and the expressions of the faces was just incredible.

As for your last comment, I think you must be confusing me with another Abigail...
You're moving really quickly with the quilt. Hurrah! (The quicker you finish, the more quickly blog picture will appear.)
On that same Arthur Rackham page, toward the bottom, there is a gallery section of Rackham's illustrations of faeries that I think you would especially enjoy. (They're found under the heading, "Fairies from Comus, Cinderella, English Fairy Tales, Sleeping Beauty, and elsewhere.") You should look at it right now!
Oh goodness. If only I had a good quality printer! Think of the things I could do! Framed art! Homemade stationary and cards! Book marks! Postcards! Magnets! If only....I fear, though, that even if I HAD a printer, my dear husband would squelch those creative juices with practicality and the great use of costly ink.
I suppose I must be content to look at these from time to time on the bookmark I created, and perhaps a screensaver here and there.
Thank you for sharing them. It's a gold mine. I am forced to take time enough to look through each individual link as time allows. I am, how they say...hooked on Rackham.
