Spectacular!! Rundy and I both had to say "Wow!" the instant we saw it. I love the way it came out, especially the way you did the trees!
I also really like your sun--even it's orderly arrangment.
As for the animals, if I'd drawn that I wouldn't be apoligizing, but rather feeling rather smug I'd finally managed to do so well (particularly the rabbit!).
As for the piecing the tree trunks, or leaving them a solid color--My vote is to keep them all one piece of fabric, but to find a fabric that already has those colors on it. I think a solid color would make them look flat, but piecing them might make them look to blocky. Your Mom might not have any in her stash, but there is actually a fair amount of fabric with a mix of tan/brown/greys in them.
Titi, Thanks again for your suggestions! I will leave the trees as one piece. I can always add quilting to them for texture if they look too flat. And I'm partial to the rabbit, myself. He's the only beast that I won't change. I'm going to doodle the others until they look more like the critters they're supposed to! :)
Rundy, Hopefully, it's an Irish-Celtic-summertime feel, otherwise I'll have to name The Summertime Quilt more appropriately!

The design has an Irish-Celtic feel, I think.
