I LOVE black and white photo's. The color picture is nice-but doesn't hold a candle to the next one. The black and white one looks right out of a magazine. Very distinguishable. I love it. I have been experimenting with black and white film and the contrast of shadows. I haven't gottan any great results except one of Matt that I am not sure he would like me to post. If he doesn't care, I will post it on my blog. The problem is...I have a 35mm camera and not a digital...and so black and white film costs an arm and a leg. Argh.

And here's the truth. I love black and white photos, too. Our low-end digital camera doesn't convert to black and white, but John found a program on our computer that will automatically suck out all the color. Cool, huh! Anyway, the program can do lots of other neat stuff, too, but I know nothing about photography and even less about computer programs, so who knows if I'll ever get around to experimenting with it.
(By the way, our digital camera has saved us money, but I don't have even ONE hard copy of any picture taken since last summer, which is sad and ridiculous.)

and please do post the picture on your blog! like i said, i am completely ignorant of anything photography-related, but i would definitely love to see your results!
