AN OUTRAGEOUS WASTE OF TIME AND TYPE
Step one. Lug in all the laundry and stare at it dispiritedly for a few moments, then take a picture while the other laundromat patrons (all elderly) keeps tabs on the young mother under lowered lids.

Somehow, the old lady in the pic adds dimension and, in a weird way, community. Other than that, it would just be a pic of Owen laundry.
btw, tell john good job with the four.oooh.
Abby,
How do you add your pictures? Do you use Hello or Blogger or do you add the HTML yourself? I think if your pictures were smaller your blog would right the empty space.
P.S. It all began back when you added this picture of the giraffe to your blog on September 18th of last year. http://photos1.blogger.com/img/141/2360/480/P8260073.jpg
You can find that post here. http://shotsnaps.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_shotsnaps_archive.html
Hope that helps!
I should add the giraffe is about a third of the way down that page.
I hope John figured out the space-because I would hate to see you make your pictures smaller. I like them BIG! :-)
Abby-I am SO sorry you have to go to the laundrymat now. If I could give you anything-I would give you a washer! The ONE (yes-I only made it ONCE!) time I went, it took me four hours, I spent over 12.00 and came out with the most horrific headache ever. And I only had ONE child-who was feeling fine no less! After that, I looked in the paper and found a washer that very day and we picked it up that weekend. (And you can BET I let the laundry pile up during that time!)
I hope and pray that you will be given another wonderful opportunity at in-house laundry in the near future. Either in this apartment or where ever the Lord may place you in the near future. Maybe that sounds like a silly prayer request-but only because you are a most gracious and thankful cup-half-full type of person who finds joy in all things.
matt,
message given. (i like the old lady, too, but i bet she wants her own washer and dryer.)
leah,
Maybe no one else had it on their screens, but we had a big blue blankness that filled the whole screen. We had to scroll down the page before the first post would appear. No longer!
I use hello, but since I enlarged the pictures, they can't be centered properly. I could probably fiddle around with it a bit, but, eh, what's the use... :)
Rebecca,
It's really not that bad. After all, these are machines efficiently doing work for me! No red, rough, chapped washingwoman's hands here...
(I still grumbled, though, along grumpy Annika, and will go in the afternoon next time, taking John up on his offer to watch the girls while I watch the washers.)
I should find joy in all things. All too often, I'm a sourpuss, though.
Abby,
I still have the "big blue blankness that filled the whole screen." I still have to scroll down to read your posts. If you made your pictures even a little smaller it would fix the problem. How did you get yours fixed without doing the above? Hmmm.
Leah,
How long has that blank space been there for you? Ours didn't appear until over Thanksgiving when I deleted some of my profile info. The picture size shouldn't be affecting the top of the page, though their size overlaps onto the background. I switched the picture size several months ago with that giraffe, and the extra space on the top of the page didn't appear on our computer or my parents until I switched the profile. If you've had the extra space appearing since the giraffe, then...YIKES!
Let me know, and we'll see what we can do to fix it. (I don't know about you, but I found it really annoying!)
Thanks! :)
um, that's parents' (computer)
Abby,
This is a comment left on your blog a couple days after you added the picture of the giraffe. It can be found in the comment section of the picture of Annika(under the giraffe picture).

I like it better this way, except for some reason, I now have to scroll down to see the top post...
Prettier, and it doesn't affect my connection. :)

I had the same problem since you started making your pictures bigger. It's not a big deal just a little annoying. :)
