I am glad that you posted pictures of your apartment for the eyes of the beholder. I have been wanting to see the results of you 'baby-ing' up the place.... ;-) Looks great...and congrats to Annika who is now, it seems, a true 'big girl' residing in a 'big girl' bed!
annie's been sleeping in her big girl mattress (next to our bigger people's mattress) since before Christmas. the monkey kept climbing out of the pack n' play every time we put her to bed. (we're still on the lookout for a toddler bed frame, though.)
Well look no further! When will you be out to visit again? Matt and I are looking to....well, downsize a bit. Since Corynn now has a twin bed (thanks to Grandma Newman) she doesn't need the toddler bed. It is not the fairest of them all. I got in off of freecycle. It is white and has a little bit of rust-but not bad. If you want it, you are welcome to take it. Come and get it-or we can drop it off at any one of the many families down Lisle way. :-)
Wahoo! That'd be great if you're sure you don't want to save it for future wee ones. I'll ask John when he comes home to see if it's feasible, and I'll get back to you with a yea or nay. (Thank you.)
I like this picture. It reminds me that we are not as crowded as we think we are. These little flashes of reality that no matter what you have, you still have more than you thought you did. We sometimes complain that there is nothing more than walking room around here, and lo! A bedroom that lacks even that! (You guys must fly, as opposed to walk, right?)
(Of course, if there weren't so many people trying to walk at the same time, our "only walking room" might not seem so cramped.)
This picture (like so many) is misleading. In between the foot of the beds and our dressers, we have a path broad enough for 3 persons walking abreast (depending on one's girth). We actually still have tons of space compared to our first home. In our first apartment, before Millie was born, John and I literally had enough bare space for one person to walk in every room, excepting the bathroom, which was the roomiest room in the place! This was due, mostly, to large stacks of books in a very small apartment. (surprise, surprise...)

Titi,
