We occasionally let the children drive, but usually my hand directs Zeke's when we're on the road. Here-- while the girls were running in the wide-open field-- I let him have full control of the steering wheel.
Guess toward what he immediately turned the van, with glee?
Yup. Dad's haying equipment.

We used to let Zai ( our eldest) do this. He always thought he was so grown up 'driving'! He's now a good driver all over the farm ( which is very handy at times). Of course he's looking forward to when he actually can drive on the road, but I don't want to think about that - the last 12 years have gone quickly enough! Your Zeke is so cute there!
What's the legal driving age in Australia? In our state, it's 16, and Millie's only 3 1/2 years away. Gulp! Not too much longer for Zai, I bet!
They can get their learners permit at 16 here and licence at 17. I know, it's far too soon. Those couple of years will fly. Sigh.... This growing up thing is hard on mothers....
It's the year the twins are learning to drive that I'm really dreading. Before getting their licence they have to have 120 hours of experience. That will mean a lot of sitting in the car driving slowly ( learners can only drive up to 80kph). :)
Even scarier is that Millie DOESN'T have to have 120 hours of experience before she gets her license. Yikes!
