End of June

This year, we planted the gardens later than we ever have before. They weren't finished until the second week of July because the rain just didn't stop, and the mini lakes didn't disappear for weeks. When they finally did, I despaired anyway.

I dreaded planting this year. No matter how many we remove, the rocks get worse each spring, not better.

God bringing life out of this stony ground is always a marvel to me, and I can't help but think of Christ's parables each spring.
