This picture is for Sarah Tate. While making peach syrup, I realized that her wedding gift is one of our most useful kitchen tools. It's the only pair of tongs we've ever owned, and we use them for salad, for picking up hot canning jars, for pulling corn cobs out of boiling water, for pulling eggs out of the same, as a teething toy for Susannah in her high chair, and for a host of other uses. THANKS FOR THE MONKEY TONGS!

so, so funny. i totally forgot about those tongs until i saw them, but i was just thinking yesterday, as i boiled some bean threads, and today, as i soft-boiled eggs, "hmmm....tongs would be nice right now."
glad that my gift was useful, and apparently durable. you never can tell with monkey-tongs.
Should we mail you the monkey tongs????
