She ran over to me and breathlessly requested I take her picture, and as she flashed a Dread Pirate grimace, I did just that.
*Mary- thanks for those stockings. In the last week, they've become the new monster socks. Apparently, pirates prefer striped stockings to plain. (To be honest, I do, too. Arrrr.)

last visit to chicago, i saw a whole exhibit on pirates at the natural history museum. it was thrilling, but none as menacing as this one.

I am sitting in my bathroom commenting with just about an hour and a half before YOU arrive (silly) and Steve and Mitzi (AHHHHH!) with all children to dress, blueberry buckle to make, strata to bake and house to clean.
I see I have my priorities in line....
