Day of Rest

Sunday, late afternoon, after we arrived home from church...

Heat here filled Millie's dress like wind in a sail.



Susannah's pigtails couldn't settle down while she read a book.




Nor could they, for that matter, when she sped-read a book. (Sped-read? Speed-readed? Somebody help me here.)

speed-read is my guess...but hey-YOU'RE the English teacher! ;-)

Love her piggies and that last photo where it seems she has stretched herself out to cover the whole chair. !

We've already got an Annika, so Pippi's out for another girl, if God gives one, but I always put in on the list...just in case. (Perhaps we misnamed this one.)

And I think I've settled on spead-reed; that way readers will be too appalled by the gross misspelling to even wonder about wrong tense usage.
