Yes, we had a blast at the county fair. Why do you ask?!??

Millie and I entered some things and made forty dollars to spend on cotton candy and elephant ears and taffy (with more left over). Millie entered her stuffed horse and took home a blue ribbon. It was so fun to see her pride and excitement when she saw it. I was more excited about the prize money than the blue ribbons, but that's only because I'm a jaded, greedy adult.


Annika wanted her picture taken with the photo of her that won, alas, only a red ribbon. She was as proud of that as Millie was of hers, though.


We used some prize money to buy an elephant ear. This was my favorite part of the evening-- the five minute space in which Annika refused to take a bite because it was an elephant's ear. The man behind her thought he'd take her portion, but she finally ate it...and enjoyed it...and asked for more. CANNIBAL!
