Summer Evening in the Hayfield

Golden moments.

There was running and waddling after.

Waving to Grandpa who was haying.

Milkweed opening.

Milkweed wearing.

Goldenrod gathering.

Sitting in the bright lap of an approaching storm.

And we made crowns from field bindweed, putting a lovely invasive plant to honest use.

I love these pictures. I love the one of all four girls- how wonderful to have that many sisters!!!!
Piper, walking? I haven't been able to keep track of how old she is since she came early. She's so big!!! And sweet....looking, at least.

Have I said before how much I've missed your posts? I've missed your posts.

WOW -- Piper walking -I guess that's what happens when you hiberate for so long, Abigail!

Also, I'm LOVING Susannah's watch...how adorable. Where'd you find such a thing!?

Piper is so cute. I like the second-to-last one of Annika, sitting out there in the fields.

Love that late afternoon sunlight!

And all the dresses. Another one of my life goals is to wear more dresses. They're full of character, too. Also, it's amazing how bind weed headdresses so wholly turn your daughters into pixies.

Sarah,
She's eighteen months, and big, and walking, AND sweet. I'm glad you're around. I have yet to comment on your blog, but I went and read the whole thing!

Liana,
My sister picked it up on clearance at a drugstore, I think.

Titi,
I think Annie's dress came from your house! Maybe you wore it when you were her age.

These pictures are the reason I am selfishly hoping you have another girl, and then three more after that. I'm sure you'd produce very nice boys, but there is something so organically beautiful about your brood of girls running through fields of deep green grass...
