I really enjoyed this site that offers views of some of my (and your) dearest literary characters and authors. Varied artists and illustrators offer their takes on favorites. Thanks to Drawn, I now know these exist.
From Pippi to Tolstoy and everything in between.

The portrait of Tolstoy was my favorite, but Dostoevsky's beard is something else! It probably helped him keep warm in the wintertime. :P

Thanks for your words! I keep thinking I should mix up the pot a bit, but it's true that the girls provide a lot to talk about, and it's so much easier to give a few anecdotes and a slew of snapshots than it is to formulate thought-provokers.
p.s. I enjoy Bela Fleck and went to several concerts of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones when I was in college. I always walked away feeling a mixture of elation and gloom-- elation because they were such incredible musicians and gloom because I would never be a zillionth as good! :)
