Rebecca, Just place them in a basket (or a makeshift bag made of cheesecloth) and scald them in boiling water for 30 seconds to 1 minute, just like you would do for tomatoes. The skin slides right off.
Gracie, Oh, I wish! I don't think the local climate can support peaches, but if it could, you can bet I'd plant some on our future homestead. My uncle's a truck driver and picked these up at a Pennsylvania farmstand.
