Superheroic

As quick as I can, because I need to go and Do Things.

Saturday, Mike and Mary and their family visited. We have been blessed by their friendship since we moved here, and we enjoyed their company immensely. Anyway, that's all the introduction one needs to the pictures strung below.

Off in a flash!

(Oh, yeah. I posted new recipes to strengthen your soul, and I added a picture of the cheesecake slice I ate for breakfast.)

Off in a flash again!
(....only flashier this time.)

You broke into your first quart of summer blueberries?!!! We picked hundreds and hundreds (well, hundreds of pounds, anyway) of quarts, and all except for the ones I carefully squirelled away for pie are gone!! Such restraint is unknown here. (Which goes for chocolate chip cookies, too. I just made about 200 of them, half of which Teman is taking in to the Thanksgiving party at his work tomorrow. The other hundred has been polished off. Warm chocolate chip cookies are irresitible.)

Speaking of good things being gone in a flash--all but one of the yummy cinnamon rolls I made (with your luscious recipe) are gone! Thanks for sharing such a gem...everyone at work thanks you too. In fact, the only one not singing your praises right now is my waistline. :)
They were very, very good. So good, in fact, that I think I am going to make them everytime I am required to bring a sweet item anywhere. Who could resist that ooey-gooey yumminess?
And on another note, we need to get together sometime!

Titi,
I made most of our blueberries (including the ones you gave us) into jams, so we only have a few quarts frozen, and I want them to last at least until the first bonafide snowstorm! (Keep in mind, too, that I'm not cooking pies for so many hungry boys!).

Michi,
Come! I'll make naught else but cinnamon rolls, and our waistlines can mutter complaint together while our bellies sing in symphony. Seriously, I'm glad you agree that those rolls are top-notch, and let's meet again...soon! (And is there any way to roust those Harrisons and their little Ava out, too?)
