Looking In
As long as I'm ruining reality by trapping poor representations of it, here again are snapshots of the girls at play, again without the wonderful chatter that should be rilling through them.
Summertime means picnics-- picnics on tables and rockers fashioned from the burn pile. (Not shown are their cupboards full of stones, their extra furniture, and their pile of old table legs stored away for a rainy day.)
Annie hammers away. The chair repair came a little too late...as did my realization that she looks like a street rat here. (The vintage slip is from their dress-up chest, the shirt is from her drawer, and the tousled hair is undeniably hers and hers alone.)
