John's parents gave us the world's fanciest, biggest vehicle for his birthday! I was flabbergasted when he drove home with it. It's ten years old but looks like it's hot off the assembly line. That is, it did until a deer thunked into its side a week and a half after John brought it home. (We were getting too vain about our high-class transportation, I suppose. Even post-deer, it's still the smoothest, roomiest ride I've ever had, and we are as grateful as can be.)

I never thought I would long for a van-but the day has come. Our little car fills up with children in the seats and a stroller in the trunk, leaving us NO room ANYWHERE. Of course, who needs space to haul anything, when there is no treasures found at yard sales to haul?? argh.
It's amazing how quickly we've become accustomed to the extra space. It's funny, too, because I didn't think we'd get a minivan until number FIVE came out (Lord willing). A carseat for number four could have been squeezed in between John and I in the front seat. I grew up in a family that illegally stuffed six or seven children into a normal-sized car, so this luxury is oh-so-sweet.
