Ol' Blue Eyes

The picture's a year and a half old, but you get the idea. Much-loved and missed brother Luke, designing who knows what in Connecticut, is 25 years old today. Half a fifty-cent piece, a quarter of a century, and as such, very old.

Happy birthday, brother!
(Aren't you glad we no longer have to share a party?!?)
May God bless you in the coming year, and may you see His face.

April birthdays are SO nice.

Yeah, except for the snow.
(That's nice, too, but I think I've had enough already.)

Dear Abby~ack! PLease read this in time! Matt has to come a day earlier to pick me up due to his work schedule and so Mom has asked that I stay here Friday (ummm...tomorrow!!!). I know I am getting back to you SO late but I am BANKING on the fact that you always CLAIM to procrastinate. I hope, in this instance, you have not been busting to ready for a visit with me. I would feel awful.

I tried to phone you a few moments ago with the only number we have for you and the woman (who was very nice) who answered told me she was NOT you and didn't KNOW you. So I feel AWFUL and can only HOPE you read this in time and don't think I stood you up.

I hope that the next time we are up we can meet again but I just don't think it would be good for tomorrow. I am so sorry to cancel so late in the game.

Please don't hate me!

I hate you, hate you, hate you.

Not at all!
I just sent you a short email saying that very thing, and I'll return right now to send our phone number.

When I got the news that you weren't coming, I was just barely beginning to bust in preparation for your visit. If there's only one constant in this world (tho' there are assuredly many), it's the certainty of my procrastinating...
