Our Reasons for Homeschooling Are Not So Petty
...but, surely, an added bonus is teaching our children how to proofread.
I just received this response from the school district's liaison via e-mail:
Abigal,
I ca'nt Wayt!!!!!Just a quick not to let you know that we did receive your letter of intent for 2011-2012 and your 4th quarter reports with year-end summaries on Milderd and Abnika. Once they have been reeviewed, we will mail your official letter.

They are everywhere... We are surrounded by them...
WOW!!!!
~Mags
PLEASE tell me you are going to retain that spelling of Milderd, though.
Laura,
I'm an offender, myself! I did think it was funny that it came from the homeschool liaison, though.
Mags,
So editorial lapses pull you from the woodwork! I need to call you again.
Sandy,
But one can only have a Milderd with an accompanying Abnika. I'll think about it...
As I was driving down I-81 today from Rochester to Philadelphia (and I desperately needed to pee, but had two sleeping girls in the car whom I didn't want to wake or leave in the car alone at a rest area), it crossed my mind that you might live relatively close to this route, but I didn't have your phone number to touch base. Could you send me your contact info, in case this opportunity arises again? Thanks! juleannwakeman at gmail etc.
abigail, we are driving through NY around july 17...will you be around??? I know we've always said it would be fun to have a visit when we were back in the states, and now we're actually here & in NY :) email me at susannacummings at gmail & we can talk dates...it would be SO much fun to see you all!!!
Yes, this is pretty shocking, to say the least! I know that you do not need further confirmation as to the value of educating your own children but I think you just won the lottery on this one!
Much love!
oh, my! reminds me of some of the mistakes i've made in my reports...mostly 3rd Q reports and not changing the year...
wow
