Harvesting Onions

It's clear that I got carried away with the first crop. I uprooted a bunch that should have stayed in the ground for a few more weeks, but I braided them anyway.

It rained the day after I harvested the second crop, so they had to be brought indoors to finish curing.

There are still more in the ground that need to be pulled, but the ceiling's already so cluttered, I've been avoiding it.

I suppose this is the sort of clutter one appreciates, though.

Yes, and I bet the aroma is heavenly! Nature's Bounty - what a blessing and a gift.

Much love!

Amen to that.

My onions were all puny this year. A big disappointment compared to last years globes... and I didn't plant nearly enough. Ah well. Thankfully, onions (big ones!) are pretty cheap to come by.

Boo! Inexpensive to buy: that's how I consoled myself last year when our potato crop was shameful. It's a good consolation!
