Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve , we ate popcorn after supper and wore shining crowns.

We turned our Jesse tree into a Christmas tree and loaded it with tacky ornaments.

And we lit the fifth candle on the Advent wreath before bed. Annika always has the greatest trouble blowing out her candle after the liturgy, and John took these pictures of her huffing and puffing.

And here's Millie, giving advice on the proper way to huff and puff.

Sometimes our similarities scare me.

The night I took those photos of Matt and I with Christmas lights...while he was watching the movie-I did the exact same thing....made a crown of lights on my head. None of them turned out though. Waaaaaaaaaaa. So sweet. MUCH sweeter on girls than on a woman, trust me on this!

You asked me about a tripod...yes I do have one-Bob gave it me after he bought like three for Elizabeth. I DID use it that night-but honestly, the book or prop method works just as well. I don't know if you remember seeing the couple/family photos I took for our anniversary at that park-but I used the 'prop' method there just fine.

PS. I am glad you mentioned Steve's blog to me again. For some reason, when i started bloglines, it never fed into Steve's blog. Eventually, I lost track of him and probably never would have remembered had you not mentioned him at my blog. It was so much fun 'catching up' over there! And I see what you mean about that turquoise scarf! Same concept...WHY then, are his photos like TAKE YOUR breath away and mine aren't?!?! Double Waaaa!

The quality of these stunk, but I was glad I got a few pictures of them munching away, glowing and quiet.

Your pictures were wonderful, Miss, and I've decided that Steve is simply an alien. There's no other way to explain such beautiful photography. (No, having a fancy camera, fancy lenses, and obscene loads of talent just isn't an adequate enough explanation for them.)
