Field Trip

The reason for these pictures is to display what a fine teacher-mom I'm going to be come fall when we begin to officially homeschool.

While looking at the wallabies, Annika asked, "Mama, are those mice?" (Yes, dearheart, mice as big as you...)





And she insisted on calling these birds "pirates" instead of by their more commonly known moniker "blackfooted penguins." Aunt Sarah Owen would be so ashamed!





Good thing I've taught her rudimentary knowledge of the animal kingdom, eh?
