I just picked all mine a few hours ago before the 'flash-flood-inducing' rains come and knock their socks (er, petals) off. I will try (and fail) at soaking up that scent enough to last me 'til next year.
I particularly like the bud picture, which is stunning. Something about it makes it stand out. Love it.
H., I remember being dismayed at all the pink at Millie's shower and then feeling guilty because everyone was so kind and generous. Nearly every outfit was pink, or so I remember.
It took a few months, but dressing Millie in darling PINK outfits eased me into it, and I've never looked back, though I still don't wear it myself.
R., As you know, taking pictures of flowers requires no artistic eye whatsoever, but thanks. ;)
Peonies are my favorite. My old neighbor (several neighbors back) had a whole slew of them. She would let me steal clippings. One day when we are sure we aren't going anywhere else I'm going to have a whole slew of them growing in my yard. This year I paid 6.99 for a bunch from my local Kroger...

I only have one small patch, but I'm greedy for more. I think they're addicting. I could imagine your girls frolicking through a whole yard of them!
