The lilacs are fading into brown and brittle orbs now, but we enjoyed them in their glory.

You have access to purple AND white? That is super cool! Have you ever seen those DEEP purple ones? I want to have bushed of EVERY shade. Nothing beats lilacs. Or at least not much.

It's a pity they don't last longer. I was just lamenting the fact that my rhodo has done fizzled out-before I had the opportunity to make some huge bonafide bouquets...

There are quite a few bushes around the house. I was glad to notice them when we moved here last year, even though they were on their last legs, and I looked forward to this year.

I love lilacs, too, in any color or hue I find them.
