The Spoiling
Dude and Dude-mom visited sometime in October. Their visits are always so full of warmth and love (and fixing our bathroom fan and climbing on the roof! and filling a cart with "a few cans of juice"), and this was no exception.
We went to an apple farm, ostensibly to buy a bag of apples for a good neighbor on the Island, but you know how it goes...
One small bag of apples turned into some lollipops and candy sticks and a wagon ride, among other things.
Piper enjoyed her first taste of lurching wagons.
Annie enjoyed conversation with Grandpa
and a steady pillar she could cling to.
Lucy was not assured.
Afterward, we went to the mall for the first time in recent memory in order to buy some mower blades. The MALL! Piper was delighted by her first ride on an escalator. It's even better than the lurching wagon!
We wandered around Sears for a bit.
And Piper, shown happy here, became very cross and naughty before we left.
Yes, cross and naughty. It's hard to believe, but unfortunately true.
